Eggs A La King

I'm not sure where this recipe originated.  I found it in a recipe notebook that my mother kept, and presume that the recipes contained there were passed down from my grandmother.  Where my grandmother got them from, I do not know.

Eggs A La King

2 tbs salad oil
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup milk
1 cup American cheese, chopped
6 stuffed green olives, sliced
4 hard cooked eggs, chopped

Heat oil, add onion, peppers, and celery and saute' until tender. Add soup, milk, and cheese.  Heat stirring until cheese melts. Stir in eggs and olives.  Heat and serve over hot buttered toast.
